We are so excited to be offering this truly unique collection of organic naturally coloured cotton fabrics. Rather than being dyed all the colours from this line are created with cotton plants that grow in natural colour variations.
100% organic cotton Interlock jersey fabric forming delicate stripes in cream and soft brown. Two colours found in nature without dyes or chemicals resulting in a soft, hypoallergenic and biodegradable fabric. An ideal fabric for sewing comfortable baby clothing that will protect the sensitive skins of our little ones. Katia Fabric's Purest Cotton Knit fabrics have both the GOTS and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certifications. Enjoy cotton in its natural state with completely pure fabrics.
Interlock knit is generally easier to work with than jersey as it does not curl and is more stable but still have some stretch (about 50% width-wise).
This form of cotton also feels softer to the skin. Naturally colored Cotton is still relatively rare because it requires specialized harvest techniques and facilities, making it more expensive to harvest than white cotton.
