The design is printed by experts in Italy onto Liberty's fluid, reflective 16 momme Belgravia silk satin – a fabric prized for its lustrous drape and fluidity, along with its luminously high-shine surface. Construct it into evening wear pieces such as sheath gowns, or use it to create opulently wearable daytime designs like wrap dresses and flowing shirting.Mostly opaque thanks to the darker print but still slightly sheer when held to light. 

Originally hand-painted by the Liberty design studio in 1957, this trailing botanical is a nod to 1930’s style Liberty prints. A variety of flowers including buttercups, sweet pea and morning glory were redrawn with a very fine outline, while a subtle shadowed effect was added to create a sense of depth and richness.
