Silky soft cotton made in Japan. The Elite silky solids are the highest quality quilting cotton I have found. They are a much higher thread count that Kona and they are really much softer. The same weight and durability you would expect from a quilting cotton but with a much softer hand. 80 squared thread count (80x80), compared to Kona and most almost all other quilting cottons which are 60 squared.

I needed a solid pink to border a pinwheel panel of 3x 4 eight inch blocks. I already pitched this fabric in white and was extremely happy with the beautiful finish and weight. It washed beautifully and maintained a straight grain. That is why I returned to Riverside for the ballet pink. For me it is superior to Kona cotton. It’s strong but a finer weave.
